Satara Camp in Kruger National Park is known for its Big Cats. It was here that a magical scene of a mother leopard and her cub climbing into a tree was witnessed. Sataracaptures the leopard's fiercely protective maternal instinct as she helps her cub to the next branch.

This peaceful design includes fans of leaves and curving trunks and vines, all richly ornamented with precise stripes and scallops. The leopards' fur has a more untamed pattern, in tawny orange, soft metallic gold and bronze, as well as a ghostly mica sheen, as if in a dreamscape.

A smaller scale version of the mural Nuvole, Nuvolette, is one of the most enduring Fornasetti designs. The sky was long a recurring vision for Fornasetti and these ‘little clouds’ are delicately detailed etchings depicting tempestuous, rolling skies.

The subtle lustre of the Charcoal and Bronze colourway gives added depth to this delicate pointillist-like design, whilst Taupe, Ballet Slipper, Seafoam, and Old Olive provide a charmingly sophisticated art deco palette.

One of the most beloved and iconic Cole & Son wallpapers has been reintroduced to reveal two brand new colourings.

Alongside the classic duck egg, soft blue and cream grounds, two additional renderings include jewel toned birds fluttering on a dramatic indigo blue ground and softer prettier birds on a delicate ivory. These new versions of Hummingbirds are produced on a non-woven base paper.

It’s no wonder that Silvan forests feature so heavily throughout literature and folklore; the sense of being wholly enveloped upon stepping into an array of trees and undergrowth as far and wide as the eye can see creating an awe-inspiring feeling.

Translated here in Forest’s large-scale, intricately hand-painted, fantastical trees, the dappled light traverses through far off branches as the dense ground cover emits the warm and welcoming woody fragrance of childhood memories.

Beautifully hand-rendered with a soft, watery paint mark, Croquet Stripe captures the serene calmness and tranquillity of water colour movement.

Frutto Proibito gloriously combines different archival Fornasetti motifs from the 1940s and 50s. Mischievous monkeys, originally conceptualised as striking wooden panels for the Milanese patisserie, Dulciora, sit amongst sprawling pomegranate tree branches.

The playful composition of flora and fauna is quintessentially Fornasetti, mixing lifelike etchings with decadent, bold prints.

The Procuratie facades of St Mark’s Square in Venice provide a primates’ playground for these mischievous monkeys, wrapped around the classical arches and ornate balustrades. Drawn in a simple intaglio style, the timeless soft palettes of Stone and Powder Blue, and Soot and Snow enhance the intricate line work without detracting from the design’s stunning scene.

The much-loved Chiavi Segrete combines two influential Fornasetti motifs: mystical, dense leaves concealing golden, antique keys.

This fanciful design has a magical quality, drawing the eye through and around the leaves to discover each of the ‘secret keys’ hidden within. Muted shades give way to true-to-life tones of spring undergrowth, with seasonal twists of autumnal leaves and wintery greys.

Marquee Stripe is a beautiful hand-rendered design inspired by pottery. Soft and serene, this stripe captures the beauty of artistic brush markings.

Designed in the late 1940s for the entrance hall of Piero Fornasetti’s own house in Milan, The Mediterranea wallpaper delivers a hypnotic cityscape of roofs, gilded domes and gardens with a repeating pattern that stimulates the optical effect.

In a daytime version with buildings defined in black and gold on white or nocturnal in black and humid ginger with gold domes.

Taking its name from the peacock genus, Pavo Parade is an opulent host of metallic-toned peacocks. Their subtly ombréd trailing tails pay homage to a technique pioneered by Cole & Son, whilst the subtle framing of the design creates a panel-like effect emphasising the birds' grandeur.

Rich, lustred colourings of Metallic Silver on Denim; Metallic Bronze on Midnight; Metallic Gilver on Racing Car Green; Metallic Gold on Soot; as well as the arresting Metallic Petrol on Ink make this design a lavish interior option.

Leaves, fronds and flowers form a lush and peaceful labyrinth within Hoopoe Leaves canopy; a closer glance revealing nature's bustling wonder. What appear to be blossoms are, in fact, the feathery crowns of exotic Hoopoe birds hiding in the foliage alongside wildly embellished beetles and a wide-eyed praying mantis. Every leaf, feather and insect wing is lovingly adorned with intricate patterns evoking Zulu beadwork.

Created in a rich range of colours including sharp spring greens and lush olive tones, balanced with warm pinks, corals, sunny yellows and hints of soft blue, with the ground hues evoking an inky night sky or a dusty savanna afternoon.

The Savuti is one of Africa’s most loved and well known national parks where hoopoes and hornbills call and sing whilst baboon monkeys and chameleons sun themselves in flowering Coral Trees.

This wonderful African garden has been recreated as a wallpaper in seven colourful and distinctive colourings each offering a different look - a bright orange and charcoal with a monotone engraved feel – a duck egg and old stone with a more faded and antique illustrative tones, and a series of three brightly coloured more child-like colourings on grounds of cream, dark petrol and khaki.

Narina shares its name with the beautiful Narina Trogan Bird, native to KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. Derived from the detailed patterning found on many Ardmore bowls and vases, the Cole & Son design studio have created a soft watercoloured geometric design using the stylised feathers of the Narina Bird to produce a subtle yet unusual semi-plain wallpaper.

Offered in colourings including soft neutrals alongside a vibrant burnt orange, leaf green and moody charcoal, this beautiful paper can be used to complement other designs within the collection and can also be hung upside down for an equally striking effect.

Celebrated for its graceful, frilly flora, Sweet Pea is an enduring Cole & Son motif. With its deliciously scented, lush rambling vines, the Lathyrus odoratus is a favourite in gardens throughout the British Isles and beyond.

Updated in new, contemporary palettes of Cerise & Magenta on Viridian, and Ochre & Rose on Parchment, as well as traditional cottage garden tones of Autumnal Multi, Blush & Olive, and Mulberry and Sage on Cream, and Cerulean Sky & Sage on White this heritage design is surface printed to retain the thick, tactile print marks of each petal.

Inspired by the colourful and exuberant architecture of South Beach, Miami and the lush and tropical vegetation of the region, the Miami wallpaper depicts giddy layers of elegant tiled terraces, colonnades and pillars, interspersed with verdant palms and exotic flora.

Digitally printed, Miami is offered in two stunning colourings, the first made up of botanic greens, and limes, with accents of orange and teal, while the second presents a moodier twilight colouring of slates and greys with flashes of electric pink and golden yellow.

A bold geometric Topiary is the epitome of stately opulence, with fanciful designs of knots and labyrinths creating these beautifully ornate spaces.

In contrast to these manicured masterpieces, the Cole & Son design studio have created a softer watercolour approach, encapsulating the gentle breeze enjoyed whilst discovering these vast tapestries of colour and shape.

In soft watercoloured tones of Leaf Green, Soot, and China Blue, Topiary is a design in which your imagination can wander into the world of Parterre’s past.

Piero Fornasetti had a deep love and admiration for music and theatre finding a wealth of inspiration from the Italian Commedia dell’arte. From this came the delightful Teatro. As charming today as it was then, Teatro was conceptualised in the 1950s. The scene is enthralling with intricate line work depicting elegant theatre goers. Delicate recolourings play towards the design’s theatrical inspiration alongside timeless Fornasetti palettes.

A classic of the Atelier’s portfolio, the sun occupies a privileged position in the Fornasetti repertoire of natural forms and is one of the major motifs in the Atelier's visual universe.

A predilection in part justified by the fact that for years in the early 1940s, at the request of Gio Ponti, Piero Fornasetti designed almanacs on a lunar theme to be given as Christmas gifts.

Cascade’s dense canopy of bursting florals and foliage sits in complement to Reverie’s expansive scene. Each palette is an explosion of colour, naturally radiant and defiantly bright.

Zesty greens are punctuated with vibrant marigolds and magenta, whilst facets of sapphire and forget-me-not are balanced with coral and violet, creating an effervescent and radiant all-over print.

Cole & Son’s non-woven wallpapers are sponge wipeable with a soft damp cloth and no agent or detergent. We do not recommend attempting to wipe our silk, grasscloth or flock wallpapers.

The charmingly designed Safari Dance features a trio of elephants dancing horizontally across the African plains.

Intricately rendered, they are taken from a series of large decorated urns painted by Zinhle Nene which take pride of place in the Ardmore museum. Colourings are paired back in order to enhance the fine hand-drawn elements – charcoal and sand and stone provide a softly speckled backdrop to black and white, as well as soft mulberry, rust and cool chalky greys.

Originally a block print, Florencecourt wallpaper takes its name from the Florencecourt Yew, widely considered to be one of the original yew trees within the British Isles.

Featuring dense foliage in shades of green, teal, grey and olive, this wallpaper has been given a contemporary feel through its combination of surface and flexographic print techniques

Flamingos remains one of Cole and Son’s most popular designs, with its charming repeat of nonchalant birds and subtle background foliage. Presented in four complementary colour palettes of Olive, Ballet Slipper, Lilac Grey, and sumptuous Ink and Alabaster Pink.
