Mary McDonald was inspired by 17th- and 18th-century garden follies when she imagined onyx multi-colored Shell Grotto Panel, part of an extraordinary two-panel wallpaper set with a unique hand-painted aesthetic.

Mary McDonald was inspired by her love of neoclassical and Napoleonic motifs when she created Greco Stripe in sky. Surface printed on a flat ground, this versatile mid-scale wallpaper design offers a unique combination of straight and articulated dentil stripes. The ‘Ortensie’ design is based upon the abundant hydrangea bushes that grow in the garden that surrounds the Fornasetti house in Milan.

Piero Fornasetti created this design in the 50s applying it to numerous tables and trays.

The fan shape of the composition of pandan leaves provides a subtle "collage look". The pronounced relief of the design gives extra depth and contrast.

Wickerwork in tile shape is inspired by the tropical plant pandan. The fibres of this plant are diagonally cut into strips and are interwoven.

The clean, diagonal lines appear less abstract thanks to the natural look and feel.

This print is inspired by the Itaya palm tree from the Amazon. There is more or less contrast depending on the choice of colour.

Flowering eucalyptus intertwines with peony blooms and small white butterflies. The foliage cascades down a textured wall, the leaves creating a shadow on a delicate ombrÙ of colour and a subtle trellis that fades in and out.

Taken from our archive this design was originally a ceiling paper by Arts and Crafts designer Andrew Brophy (1844-1912). We’ve recreated the structure of the trellis and added flowers and leaves from one of May Morris’s original designs to create Brophy Trellis an incredibly usable design which pairs beautifully with other Morris & Co. fabrics and wallpapers. Available in four colourways: Linen/Sage Russet/Gold Ivory/Sage and Deep Teal
