Khulu, meaning ‘most important’, is particularly apt for this grand design featuring classical vases entwined with leopards, parrots, lions and other African animals. This fabulous watercoloured motif pays tribute to these modern day collectable vessels which can be found in galleries and private collections around the world.

Printed to an impressive 68.5cm repeat, the design is offered in various colourways including soft pinks and oranges on pale cream, a host of China blues on ivory, vivid greens and charcoal on ivory and finally a dramatic petrol and emerald on midnight blue.

Six silk foulards with Eastern scenes are the source of inspiration for this composition. The colour explosion is perfectly balanced and creates one harmonious and panoramic whole.
