Using Japanese techniques and charcoal, the Cole & Son artists created croquis for the Japanese Woods design. It is a modern interpretation of a traditional craft, known as Daisugi a Japanese sustainable mission to preserve a whole forest in one tree. Within each pruned tree you have a whole forest.

The striking Japanese Woods gives a contemporary feel to any room, providing the illusion of an eternal forest. This graphic and monochromatic repeat provides depth and perspective to the interior space.

The Ryoanji Temple cultivated the inspiration behind Lily Lotus. The beautiful water and ponds in the gardens of Kyoto are filled with these elevated flowers, setting the scene of the water landscape. The Cole & Son artists have painted an interpretation of the Water Lilies, identifiable with a floral choreography. Water Lilies are said to bring peace and enlightenment the design Lily Lotus will uplift your space as the florals intertwine and dance across the walls. 

Fornasetti used shells to cover the walls of his Lake Como villa dining room, as a mid-century interpretation of a sixteenth-century grotto. The room also featured a delicate shell ceiling lamp made by Giulia, Piero’s wife.
