Masterfully bridging rustic and refined aesthetics, Ralph Lauren's Canyon Road fabric collection draws inspiration from the serene beauty of natural landscapes. The thoughtfully curated assortment balances artisanal craftsmanship with practical luxury through durable wool blends; plush, long-pile velvets; cotton-and-jute weaves; and performance sheers with a natural drape. Realized in a rich, neutral palette punctuated by vibrant red and indigo hues, the selected designs span from naturally flecked textures to striking geometric motifs.
Included in this exquisite collection are fabrics created as part of Ralph Lauren's Artist in Residence program. This special collaboration with siblings Naiomi Glasses and Tyler Glasses - both seventh-generation Diné (Navajo) weavers - honors Navajo heritage and centuries-old traditions.
Inspired by an original weaving by Naiomi and Tyler Glasses, this wool fabric draws influence from a Third Phase Chief's blanket. The 'Third Phase' refers to the period of hand weaving in the late 1800's. During this period, diamond shapes began to overtake the simpler stripes of the earlier phases. In this pattern, a four-directional cross is placed within each diamond, representing the Earth's four directions. This pattern is named after Naiomi's and Tyler's late sister, Heather, who loved a melange, neutral palette. Suitable for upholstery, drapery and cushions.
