The blossoming of thousands of Jacaranda flowers fills the town with colour in spring. A spectacular sight, which covers the streets with a mauve carpet at the end of summer. Embroidered on a cotton and linen cloth, these spectacular flowers blossom in different monochromes of green, ochre, purple and blues. These new and delicate shades, created by our colourist for this spring-summer combine with deep-browns and are highlighted with bronze.

Hand-embroidered on traditional clothing or painted on houses, geometric designs are characteristic of Ndebele art in South Africa. The colours and symbolic designs of these wallpaintings express the identity of the members of the tribe and have positive meanings. Of Ndebele heritage, the South African artist Esther Mahlangu has inspired Casamance to create this linen and cotton fabric.
